Connect, Learn, and Grow with the EC NIC

Connect, Learn, and Grow with the Early Childhood Networked Improvement Community

Join a growing community of educators, practitioners, leaders, researchers, and community partners working together to strengthen early childhood experiences, practices, and systems.

The Early Childhood Networked Improvement Community (EC NIC) is bringing people together to share knowledge and experiences, explore common challenges, and learn from one another.

We believe that meaningful improvement happens when people with different roles, perspectives, and experiences have opportunities to connect and work together. Whether you work directly with young children and families, support educators, lead programs, conduct research, or contribute to early childhood systems in other ways, your experience and perspective have something to offer.

Explore Our Cohort Opportunities

For members interested in more focused collaboration, the EC NIC is developing cohorts organized around five areas:

  • Social Emotional Learning: Supporting children’s social and emotional development and the adults and environments that influence it.
  • Systems Leadership: Exploring approaches to leadership, collaboration, and improvement across programs and systems.
  • Inclusion and Intervention: Strengthening inclusive practices and responsive supports for children with diverse strengths and needs.
  • Language and Literacy: Sharing approaches that support early communication, language development, and literacy.
  • Family and Community Engagement: Strengthening relationships, partnerships, and meaningful opportunities for family and community involvement.

Cohorts provide opportunities for participants to explore shared questions, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and develop or test approaches within their own settings.
